Questions affiliates and partners ask

Do students pay more when they use my link?

No. Everyone pays the same $97, whether or not they arrive through an affiliate’s link.

What should I tell people when I share my link?

Tell them you earn a commission if they buy through it. For example: “I recommend Deep Test Prep, and I earn a commission if you buy through my link. Your price is the same.” The FTC expects that kind of disclosure whenever someone is paid for a recommendation.

Which purchases count toward my commission?

Any library purchase made within 60 days of someone clicking your link. If they click a different affiliate’s link after yours, the newer link gets the credit, and purchases you make yourself don’t count.

Can I link to one specific lesson?

Yes. Add ?ref= and your code to the end of any Deep Test Prep page address, such as a free lesson you want a student to try, and a purchase from there still counts.

How do I get paid?

Tom pays commissions to you directly, by the method you give him when you apply. Your dashboard shows what you’ve earned and how much of it has been paid.

Do I have to use co-branding?

No. Your plain link works on its own. If you’d like co-branded pages, mention it in your application or ask Tom after you’re approved.

I work at a school. Should I apply as an affiliate?

No. Most district and school-counselor ethics rules don’t let staff earn money from recommending a product to their own students. Use the organization form instead, and your school can partner without any commission.

Does a partnership mean sharing student records?

No. Students sign up with their own email address when they use the library, and a school or organization doesn’t send Deep Test Prep any student records.
